SUMMARY


 Manage the Overall Quality System of specific division. Standardize and harmonize primary business processes of the division. Create a uniform application and presentation of an outstanding quality presence and image to our customers across all sites. Facilitates continuous improvements supporting divisional goals and objectives. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops quality strategies, standards and systems of the global MCD to support the organization’s strategic goals that are responsive in fulfilling the quality control objectives of our customers
  • Provide leadership and general work direction to the MCD site quality managers. Resolves any conflict related to product quality between business units and/or business sites
  • Responsible for centralized site audit function
  • Provides overall direction for the Quality System division wide. Determine primary quality processes and harmonize at all sites. Maintains a solid understanding of the unique business and technological requirements specific to each site
  • Define global MCD standard of conducting and representing MCD in customer and 3rd party quality audits. Presents Company's MCD as a quality driven company, establish, train and enforce proper conduct and presentation standards of quality department when participating in an audit
  • Provide representation of the company's system within customer presentations and sales opportunities
  • Define, implement and monitor quality program indicators (i.e., CAPA, RMA, traceability, etc.)
  • Define primary quality processes to include management escalation process up to divisional management
  • Manage, reviews, and maintains compliance with quality policies, business system manuals and ISO standards. Assures Quality System is in effect according to registered standard 
  • Conducts quality analysis to identify and deliver the effective design, deployment and measurement of world-class quality support

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • BS/BA degree required, MS preferred
  • 10+ years Quality exp in the component industry (prefer Medical)
  • A proven track record of flawless communication, project management, statistical analysis and analytical problem solving experience
  • Above average computing skills and sound understanding of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Ppk, Cpk, 8D; Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Power Point preferred
  • Exp with ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000 standards and regulations
  • Exp with Lean and using lean principle within the quality system. Good interpersonal skills, mentoring, coaching, problem solving skills required
